hi, ive searched and havent noticed an answer. im interested in getting a low req(7 and under) tactics shield. req7 ar16 is out of my price range, however the req7 armor15 is...i dont care if its blue or gold. the question really is...whats the cutoffs? can i get a req6 ar15 blue shirld? thanks

With the exception of really old shields, 8 is the maximum distance you can have between armor and requisite. 16/8, 15/7, 14/6, etc.

Those really old shields I mentioned are also not inscribable, so getting a full working set of 16/7 Tactics shields would be well into the thousands of ecto in cost.

Them shields still drop in MAGAM area of Prophecies.

Just open the chests and you will find something eventually. I got a sword last week from a chest there that was Purple req6 13-20 damage and a gold 14-22 sword! so these do drop.

However, to find one with the MODS you want on it.. well that is going to take you a very very long time.

The Cutoff for a shiled for being GOLD is the MAX for a Shield for being PURPLE.

To find this out, check out www.presearing.com.

I Believe the cut off for PurPLE Shields is 12 and these still can be single modded when they drop for the shield handle.
12 Armor is the most expensive shield in Pre with armor +9 vrs charr and h +26 but its almost unheard of.

To answer your question.
Yes you can get your shield but it will be PURPLE not Blue.

Answer: As much as color of a shield has to do with the possible best req for a given armor rating - nothing.

For example the lowest req you can find on a 15 armor shield is 7 and it's the same for blue, purple and gold shields.
